The German Federal Police have wide-ranging policing duties to guarantee domestic security in the Federal Republic of Germany, with a particular focus on border control, railway policing and aviation security. As part of these responsibilities, the Federal Police also fight crime.

Linguarum has had a framework contract with the German Federal Police since 2021.

We translate into all (28) of the EU’s official languages, including educational material, press releases, flyers and posters for major events like UEFA EURO 2024, and annual reports.

The order value to date (as of May 2024) has been over €200,000.

German Center for Integration and Migration Research

The German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM) researches integration and migration, consensus and conflict, societal participation and diversity, and discrimination and racism.

It comprises the DeZIM Institute in Berlin as well as a Germany-wide network of research facilities that form the DeZIM Research Community.

Linguarum has had a framework contract since early 2023. We translate questionnaires, interviews, evaluation sheets, and reports – mostly into Arabic, English, Russian and Turkish.

The order value to date (as of May 2024) has been over €50,000.

City of Cologne

Cologne is Germany’s fourth-largest city. Located on the River Rhine, it is best known for its monumental Gothic cathedral, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city is an important cultural and economic hub with a vibrant art and music scene, plus an array of media companies. Cologne is also famous for its annual carnival, which attracts millions of visitors each year.

The City of Cologne has had a framework contract with Linguarum since 2019.

We translate a variety of brochures, flyers and guides into 16 different languages.

German Federal Office for Information Security

The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) is a federal authority responsible for IT security in Germany. It develops security standards, advises public bodies and companies on IT security issues, and is responsible for combating cyber attacks. The BSI also informs the public about current threats and gives recommendations on how to use information technology securely.

The BSI has been working with Linguarum since 2022. We translate situation reports and audit reports from German into English.

The order value to date (as of May 2024) has been almost €14,000.

German Federal Employment Agency

The Federal Employment Agency (BA) is a federal authority responsible for managing the employment market in Germany. Its main responsibilities include job placement, careers advice, promoting professional development, granting unemployment benefits, and carrying out measures to integrate workers into the employment market.

AWO Bundesverband e.V.

AWO Bundesverband promotes workers’ welfare in Germany at a federal level and is one of the largest welfare associations in the country. It coordinates and supports the work of regional associations that provide a variety of social services including support for children and teenagers, care for elderly people, and help for people with disabilities. The association is also active politically, advocating for social justice and the interests of disadvantaged groups.

Since 2023, Linguarum has been translating from German into seven different languages: Arabic, English, Farsi, French, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian.

City of Bochum

Bochum is a city in the Ruhr Area in northwestern Germany, best known for its industrial history, particularly in mining and steel production. Today, Bochum is a hub for education and culture, home to Ruhr University Bochum and the German Mining Museum.

Linguarum has been working for the City of Bochum since 2020. We translate into six different languages, including Arabic, Albanian, Russian, Ukrainian and Kurdish.

The order value to date (as of May 2024) has been almost €12,000.

Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ), part of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities, provides supercomputing capacity and IT services for science and research, especially universities and research institutions in Bavaria. The LRZ also plays a leading role in developing and providing innovative IT solutions and infrastructure.
